Coinbase Global gains approval from Italian regulator, part of its European expansion

Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) has obtained approval from Italian regulators to provide cryptocurrency services to residents of the company, it said Monday via blog post, expanding its footprint in Europe to almost 40 countries.The cryptocurrency exchange is continuing to build its business in Europe and sees regulatory approvals as key to that process. It has registrations or license applications in progress in several major markets, it said."Building a constructive relationship with regulators in every jurisdiction in which we operate is incredibly important as we march toward our mission of increasing economic freedom in very corner of the world," said Coinbase (COIN) Vice President of International and Business Development Nana Murugesan in the blog post.Coinbase (COIN) stock is climbing 6.1% in Monday premarket trading, on a day when cryptos are gaining.
