Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) and CoinMarketCap.com both say they've resolved issues that showed highly inflated prices on Tuesday evening, without saying what caused the problem. "We're aware some customers are seeing inflated values for non-tradable crypto assets on Coinbase.com and Coinbase Wallet. This is a display issue only and does not impact trading," Coinbase said in a tweet at about 5:00 PM ET. By 5:27 PM ET, the company said the issue was resolved, saying that the affected assets were no longer appearing inflated. CoinMarketCap.com posted at about 5:24 PM ET that it had resolved the issue with incorrect price information. It's not suspecting any hacking activity. "We haven't found any evidence yet to suggest that today's glitch was caused by an external party," CoinMarketCap.com said in a statement to Bloomberg. On its Twitter account, CoinMarketCap.com joked that the prices were users' screen shots of the inflated prices were from the future.
