BAYC-Themed Burger Joint No Longer Accepts Cryptocurrency

Recently launched BAYC-themed burger joint Bored & Hungry is no longer accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment, according to a report on Friday from the Los Angeles Times. Irony At Its Best? Launched in April, Bored & Hungry, located in Long Beach, California is no longer accepting Ethereum (ETH) and Apecoin (APE) as a form of payment for its food. When asked if it was possible to pay with crypto, an employee from the restaurant told the Los Angeles Times: “Not today, I don’t know.” It also remains unknown as to how long ago the store had stopped accepting cryptocurrencies or whether that option would eventually return. “With both Ethereum and Apecoin down more than 60% since early April and undergoing double-digit intra-day swings, it would be understandable for any business to be reluctant to accept them in lieu of dollars,” the report added.
